Description
A delicious, easy Strawberry Dump Cake made with fresh strawberries and a cake mix.

- 2 cans strawberry pie filling, 21 ounces each
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 box yellow cake mix, 15 ounces
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, thinly sliced or melted
- 2 cups whipped cream, optional for serving
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Spread the strawberry pie filling evenly across the bottom of the dish.
- Scatter the sliced fresh strawberries over the filling and drizzle with lemon juice.
- Stir the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract together until mostly smooth.
- Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the strawberry layer.
- Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the fruit and cream cheese.
- Arrange thin slices of butter over the cake mix, or drizzle melted butter evenly over the top.
- Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, until the filling is bubbling and the topping is golden.
- Let the dump cake rest for 15 minutes before serving.
- Serve warm or chilled with whipped cream, if desired.
